Humorous Stories - The Climber

A local man was sighted on Saturday climbing a town monument, a replica of a giant tiki torch.  All was well until the climber reached the top of the tiki torch and it was suddenly set off by the automatic timer.

The climber suffered rope burns and whiplash.  Lucky for the climber, a herd of goats were feeding in the field surrounding the giant tiki torch and managed to break the climber's fall.

After a short stay in the emergency room, he was released from the hospital, only to be booked by local authorities.

According to authorities, the problem wasn't that the climber had climbed, but that the tiki had been torched.

It appears that during that frightful moment when the large object ignited, the climber damaged the tiki frame in his efforts to descend in lightening speed, and of course the tiki itself was burned to smithereens.

The complaint also included one count of Goat Assault.
