As you can see, it appears that the corn is chasing Dieter Julie but in reality, it is Dieter Julie chasing the corn. Imagining through her dream that the corn is chasing her is Dieter Julie's way of dealing with her corn craving. Just the day before, Dieter Julie was grabbing handfuls of candy corn from her co-worker, Jerry's candy dish. In Dieter Julie's corny dream, the corn will never catch her.
